A Passion for Design

A Passion for Design

It was her dream to create an atmosphere offering the ambiance of home, which led interior decorator Pacita Wilson to found Pineapple Park in Woodstock, Georgia thirteen years ago. The showroom serves as both a retail and full service design center filled with a variety of vignettes where furniture, textiles, lighting, art, window treatments, and accessories are discovered. As a one-stop shop, Pineapple Park’s staff provides attention to detail, meticulous work, and a commitment to creating projects unique to each customer’s vision with the inventory, space, and personal assistance to achieve the goal. Her career began in Cocoa Village, Florida, where she opened Pacita’s Home Collection. After several years of reflection and prayer, the family relocated to Woodstock, and Pineapple Park became the destination for patrons near and far looking for exceptional design services compatible with their project concept. Launching the first store of 686 square feet and watching it grow to 15,000 square feet has been gratifying. Since 2010, Pineapple Park has developed many notable projects, including the Clarity Farm Showcase Home and the Cartersville Country Club.

Pacita’s passion for design and heartfelt desire to create the home of every client’s dreams has always been her vision for Pineapple Park. She takes note of a client’s ideas for the project, and then her goal is to turn that concept into reality. Whether it’s redesigning an entire home or repurposing existing decor, she enjoys working within budget to furnish and accessorize a living space. It is her mission to develop unusual and beautiful areas using a mix of old and new to create the perfect gathering place for special occasions as well as everyday life. Pineapple Park is an integral part of the community and the staff and the family are enthusiastic about supporting local schools and charities. Everyone on her team becomes part of the family; they are all devoted to their work and make it more enjoyable by dancing, singing, and always sharing jokes of the day. Throughout her career, Pacita’s family has always been the support system she needed to pursue her dreams. She has been married to Kenny for 28 years, knew they were soulmates the moment they met, and were married six weeks later. They are blessed to have two sons, Hunter, age 23, and Porter, age 21, who both work in the business and add tremendous value to the team. Relocating the family to chase after her dream was one of the biggest challenges Pacita faced during her career, and has also proven to be one of her greatest blessings.

As much as her passion for design inspired her, Pacita always believed food connected people, and her devotion to family life led to a new fervor for cooking. During the Covid pandemic, Pacita and Kenny combined their love of preparing food and spending time with family. Always a favorite activity is last-minute entertaining, where they share food and spirits with close friends and family. Theirs is a hospitable home where all are welcomed. Through faith, the Pineapple Park family has been gifted with amazing staff, clients, vendors, and dear friends.
